How A Cowboy’s Sweetheart Goes Boot Scootin’

You know what a sucker I am for Cowgirl Boots, right? I’m an avid collector of Old Gringo Boots and have always dreamed of fabricating a pair of one of a kind Old Gringos … Deb Trotter Style.

Well, I finally did it. I recently created my very own Deb Trotter-Cowboy’s Sweetheart Boot … not for Old Gringo, although if you are reading this, Old Gringo – BRING IT ON.

I designed and painted the Can Can Cowboy boot (seen at the top of this post) – for the Boot Scootin’ Boogie – which takes place as part of the Buffalo Bill Art Show and Sale, held every year right here in Cody, Wyoming.

If you joined me here at Cowboy’s Sweetheart for last week’s Wild West Wednesday post, Cody Artists Go Boot Scootin’ - you already know that I was finally given the opportunity to (literally) kick up my Cowgirl (or Cowboy) Boots with nineteen other western artists whom I’ve always admired.

Nineteen artists who – just like me – jumped at the chance to bring their own creative skills and artistic visions to life by painting and designing a Cowboy Boot made from a standard mold … a three and a half feet tall Cowboy Boot, at that. Continue reading
