Yee Ha! Just in time for the artists' sale on Vendor Night … new Cowboy's Sweetheart / Maverick Rose Jewelry!

Feast yer eyes on this sassy cowgirl … a new image I acquired back in January and have been saving for something special. She'll make her Cowboy's Sweetheart debut at Art & Soul Portland next week. (She's already been introduced to Maverick Rose customers in Denver, so time's a wastin'!)

I'm desperately trying to figure out what I CAN and CANNOT take along in my ONE checked bag so it doesn't go over the weight limit. (I talked to a friend yesterday who flew Northwest last week – she was ONE LB over, and they were about to charge her $150, so she threw away her tennis shoes! AAAAK!)

It's time to practice some creative packing … I'd hate to have to throw away my clothes, which is a distinct possibility (I don't think a cowgirl's undies would make a dent on the scale – LOL, but wouldn't that be dad burned HILARIOUS to watch a cowgirl toss her panties into the hands of airport employees???), so I'm wearing my new Camelot Cross Boots to and from Portland!

Happy Trails, Pardner!

More Buckaroo Bags are nestling themselves into my carry on bag. You didn't think I was going to risk transporting these richly embellished treasures into a checked bag, did you? Heaven forbid!

This one depicts a cowgirl and a friendly little mule, and features some tickets to Buffalo Bill's Wild West show. Love that loopy trim!

This next bag – a smaller version, is a real charmer. Notice the turquoise blue velvet ribbon (Karna has all sorts of beautiful trims in her stash) and the luxurious knubby fringe!

This final version of a cowgirl and her fine feathered friend (who can resist crows?) sports luscious fabric patters bordered by thick fringe trim all around the sides of the bag.

Each and every bag has plenty of pockets to hold your cell phone and other goodies, and is expertly lined and crafted by my pardner, Karna, the Expert Seamstress of the West!

There are many styles and sizes to whet your fancy.

Be sure and drop by my Artist Table at Art & Soul Portland on Vendor Day. Say Sam Elliott sent you and you'll get a free postcard. Heck, if you show UP with the REAL Sam Elliott – that hunk of cowboy in the flesh – you get a free handbag (and I get Sam!)

Off to work on more stuff for Art & Soul!

Yee Ha! See you There!

Happy Trails!

"Home Sweet Home"

Yee Ha!

I have returned from the "dead."

Well, not really "dead," but missing!

A number of you have asked, "What's Up (or Not) With The Blog?"

Over five weeks of health issues (don't even ask – ugh!) – then playing catch up!

Hopefully things are better, at least for a while. ( I HATE it when people don't update their blogs – it's a pet peeve of mine. Consider my butt kicked to the curb by my own cowgirl-booted foot…OUCH).

I thought you might like to see a few Buckaroo Bags I've been designing with seamstress extraordinaire, my handbag pardner and friend, Karna Morton. There are ten new ones – some are featured around town, while others will be available during vendor night at Art & Soul, Portland.

I'll share more later, but he are a few more to tempt you …

In addition to Buckaroo Bags, I'll be selling pendant necklaces (new designs), art prints, hand made, one of a kind notebooks, cards & postcards on Vendor Night.

I'm off to package up my class supplies (including TONS o beautiful  handmade papers for my students) and items to sell (can you imagine…the two boxes weight a total of 68 pounds!) I pray that FedEx won't let me down.

Later, pardner.

It's good to back.

Happy Trails!
